Pakistan secure a victory which they needed badly. It was taught that batting is the weak point of the green shirts but today they proved every critic wrong including me. Today Pakistan's batting really fired up and gave Bangladesh a massive total to chase and won the contest quite handsomely with a 55 runs margin and started their proceeding impressively in the ICC T20 world cup.
Batting first Pakistan scored 201 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. the top scorer of the innings was M Hafeez who scored 64 (42).Ahmad Shahzad also scored 52 runs. The skipper Afridi played a marvelous innings and made 49 runs for just 19 balls. The stand out bowlers for Bangladesh were Taskin and A Sunny who took two wickets each
In reply M Amir struck in the first over by bowled out S Sarkar on duck. After that Bangladesh recover a bit but Afridi bowled Sabbir for 25 runs . In the next over he also got rid of the dangerous Tamim Iqbal.After 7 overs they were 57 for 3 and then they lost the way and kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. at the end they only managed to score 146 runs in their allotted 20 overs. The top scorer from Bangladesh was Shakib who made 52 runs facing 42 balls. Pick of the bowlers for Pakistan were Amir and Afridi who also took 2 wickets each. Pakistan won the by a huge margin of 55 runs and leading the points table
